Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the Honor Movement Foundation

Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) charity organization, EIN 85-092-6443.

The HMF strives to achieve an A+ Charity Navigator rating. This means we aim for at least 85% of the money donated to go directly to the veterans, first responders, and families in need. We are diligent about keeping operational costs to a minimum as our staff, board of directors, and volunteers are cut from the same cloth as those we support.

It’s as easy as reaching out to us by phone or email. Call (202) 805-2636 or email us at  Support@thehonormovement.org or use our online contact form.

If you’re a veteran or first responder, active-duty military, in the reserves or national guard, or the family of a fallen or disabled veteran, you automatically qualify for consideration. We
know that asking for help isn’t easy, but we wouldn’t be here if you didn’t need us, and so we are here for YOU!

  • Donating to support our veterans, active duty, first responders, and their families – Our veterans, first responders, and their families have immediate needs when trauma strikes.
  • Participating in the Ruck to Remember R2R – We invite you
to hike the Ruck to Remember and be a part of this meaningful annual event. We also need volunteers for everything from providing water at checkpoints to setting up
rest areas and assisting teams with gear.
  • Participating in The Final Miles – We welcome participants
as well as volunteers for the last six miles of the Ruck to Remember event.
  • Attending The Captain’s Classic – This annual golf fundraiser is an open and fun way to raise awareness and funds for the cause. Join in the golf activities or join as a volunteer.
  • Being an Honor Guard – We are building a nationwide network of trained escorts who can provide assistance to veterans in their local communities. This may include providing services such as getting a vet to a community center or medical facility for services they need or personally linking them to other local resources.

We have a robust library of exercises and instructions to help you be ready for the 60 to 60 Ruck to Remember.
